TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Little Worlds, Big Colors
1. Selection and Participation
Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and must be the legal owner of the property or provide official written consent from the landlord. This community initiative is a monthly gift limited to the professional paint refresh of one (1) single space where your child/children spend their most inspired moments (e.g., bedroom or play area). Selection is at the sole discretion of Western Renovations based on the nomination story, property location (Southwestern Ontario), and the project's visual transformation potential.
2. Campaign Timeline and Selection Cycle
To maintain a professional and consistent community impact, this initiative operates on a recurring monthly schedule:
Nomination Period: Nominations are accepted from the 1st day until the last day of each calendar month. Submissions received after the deadline will be automatically considered for the following month.
Review and Selection: Our team evaluates all applications during the first week of the following month.
Official Announcement: The selected family will be announced on the 7th day of each month via our official website and social media channels.
Project Execution: Scheduling is based on the mutual availability of Western Renovations and the selected family.
3. Color Selection and Material Standards
To ensure a "Professional Touch" finish and maintain our high standards, Western Renovations will present a curated palette of professional, child-safe colors to the selected family. The final color selection must be made exclusively from this provided palette. All paint brands and materials are at the sole discretion of Western Renovations to ensure technical precision and safety.
4. Data Privacy and Information Protection
The privacy of your personal data is our top priority. Information shared in the application form will only be used for the evaluation process of this specific community project. Data belonging to non-selected candidates will be securely archived or destroyed upon completion of each monthly cycle.
5. Communication Policy and Verified Announcement Commitment
Unless you explicitly provide consent by checking the "Subscribe" option, you will not be sent bulk marketing messages. Candidates who do not subscribe will only be contacted regarding their application status or project details.
6. Mandatory Media and Filming Consent
This is a content-driven community project. Parents/guardians of the selected family grant Western Renovations the irrevocable right to professionally film the transformation process and share this content on social media and marketing platforms. Sensitive information (last names, full addresses) will never be shared.
7. Project Scope and Professional Standards
This service covers the professional painting of interior wall surfaces. Ceiling, trim, or baseboards may be included at the sole discretion of Western Renovations. Closet interiors, doors, extensive drywall repair, and wallpaper removal are strictly excluded from this complimentary project.
8. Hazardous Materials and Site Safety
Western Renovations reserves the right to immediately pause or cancel the project if hazardous materials (e.g., lead-based paint, active mold, or asbestos) are discovered. Remediation of such materials is the responsibility of the homeowner.
9. Homeowner Responsibilities and Occupancy
Homeowners must move all furniture to the center of the room and remove all wall decorations prior to the crew's arrival. For safety, the room must remain unoccupied for 24 hours following completion. Pets and unauthorized persons must not be present during operating hours.
10. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
Western Renovations reserves the right to reschedule or pause the project due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, staff availability, or logistical delays.
11. Withdrawal and Market Value
The service is provided at no cost in exchange for marketing content. If the homeowner withdraws filming consent or obstructs the process once work has commenced, Western Renovations reserves the right to invoice for the full retail market value of the labor and materials provided.
12. Warranty and Disclaimer
As this is a complimentary community grant, the standard multi-year workmanship warranties provided in paid contracts do not apply. The service is provided on an "as-is" basis and guarantees professional quality only at the time of completion.
